The new look of the Úprkov site
The refurbishment of the MND site and building on Úprkova Street is gradually transforming the working environment to better meet the current needs of both the company and its staff. This is not merely a technical upgrade – the project specifically combines functionality, aesthetics and the community aspect of the space. The transformation of the site is not taking place in a single phase. The refurbishment of the interior spaces has been underway since 2024 and also includes technical aspects such as the modernisation of the heating system. The modifications to the outdoor area are based on an architectural study prepared by Jung architekti at the end of 2025.
From study to implementation
: The outdoor space redevelopment project began with the creation of an architectural study, which was followed by the preparation of the project documentation. In November 2025, demolition work began on the first of the detached houses. In February 2026, the site was handed over and work began on removing the car park and other structures.
More space and a better environment
The aim is to transform the inner courtyard into a space that is functional, yet pleasant and well-suited to everyday use. This includes new pavements, additional greenery and facilities for cyclists, including a covered cycle shelter.
Progress of the construction work
In spring 2026, intensive work was carried out – removing the original surfaces, preparing the sub-base and installing infrastructure, including electrical wiring, irrigation systems and planting greenery.
The work also included: the installation of permeable paving, new fencing and entrance gates, the modernisation of the access control system, and repairs to selected parts of the building. The complex is expected to be completed in July 2026.
Art as part of the environment
The new space features paintings on loan from artists associated with the Mikulov Art Symposium.
Another striking feature of the complex is an outdoor mural by Ondřej Homola, which serves as a visual landmark and a symbol of the company’s connection with creativity.
The refurbishment of the complex is not merely a construction project, but a transformation of the environment that responds to the needs and quality of working life.
